You have to experience this place. It is truly an exciting experience and takes hotpot to another level. They sing happy birthday in Chinese and have guys throwing noodles, I think that is what it is called. And the most exciting was the guy that changes faces. No idea what it means but it was amazing!! The hot pot was great! It is on the expensive side but well worth it. I had spicy hot and spicy. Og my it was fantastic. Even tried pig brains. Don't knock it until you try it just a little bit. Music is playing over the speakers, there is food to taste while waiting. You have to try it

It was a fantastic experience! I took my friend to this restaurant for his birthday, and it was our first time there. My partner and I decided to surprise him with hot pot, as I'd seen a lot about this place on social media. I even asked around to see if it lived up to the hype. In the end, it was definitely worth it. The meats were fresh, and the broths we chose--tomato and pork bone soup--were delicious! Though the restaurant was busy, we didn't have to wait long since I had made a reservation beforehand. I'd recommend booking a table if you plan to visit. There's also a sauce station and a selection of snacks/appetizers like spring rolls and a sweet dessert, and everything can be ordered through a tablet. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth the cost. It is on the pricier side, but the quality of the meats is excellent. I'd definitely go back again. P.S. If you say their secret code, you can win free prizes/gifts! You can find hints on social media. My Mandarin isn't great, so I am not much help, but I used a translator to help with the pronunciation.

Came by for my birthday dinner and had another amazing experience. Service was top notch from our very kind server. He was so sweet and kind, I didn't get his name but he's the one with the dyed white-ish hair! Food was great as per usual. A regular Sunday but packed as ever. Looking forward to revisiting in the future!

I don't think I've had better service at a hotpot place than at Haidilao. My group of 5 was sat almost immediately on a weekday night. The restaurant is pretty large and can fit a lot of people, which means little to no waiting. Ordering is done through an iPad and they come within 5-10 minutes with the goods. We ordered 4 different types of soup bases. Beware that the sichuan is actually super spicy... I was really not expecting it to be thaaat spicy but alas, I was naive. We also tried a couple of secret codes from the soup base, golden baos and the toy. We were laughing and trying not to be too obvious, but our server was awesome and gave us the "secret" items. Definitely a revisit spot if I'm back in Flushing.

Today, I ordered a glass of watermelon juice at Haidilao. The waiter brought me a porcelain watermelon as a gift.

Celebrated a friend's birthday yesterday as a big group of 10. Some were newer to hotpot like my husband and I being our only second time ever, we're more of korean bbq or Thai food afficionados. That being said, I've heard of Haidilao's reputation so certainly wanted to try. There's a big paid parking lot next to the building that you can scan a QR code and pay online, paid $15+ for almost 3 hrs. Food was okay. Friends who were regulars ordered the mushroom broth, pork bone broth, spicy broth, and mala spicy. And every possible meat and vegetable. The seasoning and appetizer sections had multiple optionals and you can get egg rolls and unlimited rice, comes with respective fees of course. Hotpot as an activity is enjoyable as it's meant to be social. Service was also great, staff were attentive. Never had to flag for water, regularly refilling and checking what needs clearing or adding more broth as needed. Our group had brought a birthday cake and they brought out a knife and plates and forks for it plus a speaker for the birthday song! Was fun! Some of us also wanted ice cream cones for the soft swerve and when we asked for 8, they brought it to the table. Note: they might try to get the actual ice creams for you so just nicely tell them that you only need the cones and will get the soft serve yourselves. I particularly liked the vanilla flavor. Overall, the price I'm told is more expensive than most hot pot restaurants but the quality and options are there. We paid $659.35 including a 20% tip.

The tomato base soup was fantastic. I recommend fatty beef, shrimp paste, Tofu skin roll, pumpkin. The dancing noodles tasted good too. I would skip the show though as the guy kept dancing our noodles to the floor and wall. I wish they gave more noodles. The secret code is limited to one per table. We got the soup base but it is not prepackaged. It is a fresh quart of tomato soup. The grape lime drink was good. The strawberry ice cream was included. It was sweet but delicious. It was more like a frozen yogurt than ice cream. Men's bathroom is very spacious and clean. The sink included eye drops, razers, floss picks, lint rollers, and more! Our waitress zhu Xiao Yu was exceptional. She was very helpful and attentive to our table. It was our first time and she made our dining experience magical. She helped us roll the shrimp paste into balls, extracted the fat from soup base, and even made us a sauce dish for the shrimp paste! One of the best dining experience! The bill came out to $90 before tax and tip. The food was definitely overpriced compared to what you can buy at supermarket. It's worth it as long as you come with the expectation to have a great experience rather than Michelin rated meal.

This is my all time favorite hot pot place! Haidilao standards are high in all of their chains around the world and their familiar flavors are what I keep going back for. We got their 4 soup hot pot with tomato soup, pork soup, pickled cabbage fish, and spicy base. We love the variety and the different ways you can enjoy your hot pot, from the condiments to dessert stations, there's so many fun ways to personalize your meal. For the ingredients, I definitely recommend the fatty beef and angus beef shoulder. We also got the shrimp paste, napa cabbage, bok choy, enoki mushrooms, fried bean curd roll and more. The service is always exceptional and attentive. The atmosphere is definitely lively and noise levels are high, but it's all part of the hot pot experience. You'll find entertainment happening once in a while with Chinese mask changing performances and their signature noodle dance. Highly recommended!
